The Status of Our Scientific Understanding of Lodgepole Pine and Mountain Pine Beetles - A Focus on Forest Ecology and Fire Behavior (pdf 809 K) - A synthesis of our current knowledge about the effects of the mountain pine beetle epidemic on lodgepole pine forests and fire behavior, with a geographic focus on Colorado and southern Wyoming.

Will the Mountain Pine Beetle Epidemic Spread from Lodgepole Pine into Ponderosa Pine along the Northern Front Range Counties of Colorado? Roundtable & Front Range Counties

In 2007, the Front Range Roundtable met individually with the 10 Front Range Counties -- Boulder, Clear Creek, Douglas, El Paso, Gilpin, Grand, Jefferson, Larimer, Park, Teller -- to connect the Roundtable's forest health and wildfire risk reduction efforts with work being done at the county level, and to assess county needs for support.

2008 Workshop Series for Counties - Forest health and wildfire risk mitigation workshops will be held for County Commissioners and staff in 2008 and will be sponsored by the Roundtable. The schedule and content of each workshop will be tailored to meet the needs of attendees.
